Not a major storm by any means but a major impact on the morning commutes due to the storms inconvenient timing. Precipitation will start as snow for the entire state after 8 PM tonight. This will be a very light event. As warmer air pushes in during the overnight hours in the upper atmosphere a changeover from snow to mix to rain will occur very rapidly around 2 AM for the shoreline. However inland CT is a different story, I expect the snow to hold on for a few more hours, and then a changeover to a mix. I don’t believe you will see rain until after 7 AM. By the time the change over occurs, inland towns especially in the higher terrains may see anywhere up to two inches of snow, expect school delays. Shoreline depending upon the exact timing of the changeover will see from a coating to an inch of snow, but it will more than likely be washed away by the time most of us wake up. Don’t count on school delays but give yourself an extra few minutes in the morning for your commute to work, so do your homework!
